The Eastern Health Cluster has launched the “Healthy Hajj 2026” campaign as part of its ongoing efforts to promote public health, strengthen preventive awareness, and ensure comprehensive care for pilgrims. The campaign is structured across three integrated phases designed to prepare pilgrims before and during Hajj, in alignment with the Kingdom’s Health Sector Transformation Program and Vision 2030.
The first phase focuses on preparing patients and beneficiaries particularly those with chronic conditions by ensuring completion of required vaccinations, providing tailored health guidance, and securing access to medications and treatment plans. This enables pilgrims to effectively manage their health conditions and perform Hajj safely.
The second phase targets pilgrims traveling عبر land and air entry points, including King Fahd Causeway (Bahrain), Salwa Border (Qatar), Al Batha Border (UAE), Umm Al-Zumul (Empty Quarter – Oman), and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. Services provided include blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, along with direct health education based on the “Pilgrim Guide.” This includes key guidance on heatstroke prevention, infection control, and essential healthy practices to ensure a safe Hajj journey.
The third phase focuses on continuous digital awareness throughout the Hajj season, delivering timely health messages through digital platforms to accompany pilgrims during their journey and provide them with essential preventive measures and real-time guidance.
The Eastern Health Cluster emphasized that this campaign reflects its commitment to empowering beneficiaries through health awareness as a key pillar, alongside delivering therapeutic and emergency care services that ensure a safe and healthy Hajj experience for all pilgrims, contributing to improved quality of care and overall well-being.
