A Story of Giving… From the Operating Room Back to the Gym
When I learned that my uncle needed a liver transplant, I knew there was no time to hesitate. The decision came straight from my heart: I would donate without a second thought.
My journey began at the Organ Transplant Center of Excellence at King Fahd Specialist Hospital, where I discovered that true giving is always met with even greater kindness. I found myself surrounded by a medical team whose care went far beyond professionalism. They explained every detail, answered every question, and stood by me through every step.
Yet, despite their reassurance, one worry lingered in my mind: sports.
I had always been active, and the gym was part of my daily life. But many of my friends told me, You’ll never be able to work out again after the surgery.
That thought haunted me for a while.
After the successful surgery, by the grace of God and with the continuous follow-up and guidance of the medical team, I began to recover, slowly regaining my strength. Just a few months later, with my doctor’s approval, I returned to the gym, stronger and more determined than ever.
From the tests, to the surgery, to the recovery, I never felt alone.
I was always surrounded by sincere compassion and exceptional medical expertise.
The most beautiful moment of all was seeing my uncle smile again.
At that moment, I realized that every challenge I went through was truly worth it.
I’m deeply grateful to the Eastern Health Cluster for their exceptional support and for paving the way for my heartfelt decision to become a lifelong story of humanity and pride.
And if you ask me, “Would you ever consider donating again?”
I’d confidently say,
Donation doesn’t end anything. It begins everything beautiful.
